Training & Education
Allen County Ambulance Service is honored to visit the Allen County School System to educate students, of all ages, about the job of an EMS provider.
Allen County Ambulance Service proudly offers National Registry Emergency Technician (EMT) classes for those interested in working in the EMS field.
Hands-on learning allows students to take the words from the textbook and apply the knowledge learned from the book. Students are able to see, using pig lungs, the importance of proper ventilation and the utilization of Positive end-expiratory pressure (Peep)
Educators visit classrooms to inform, train, and educate students about the tools, procedures, interventions, and medications EMTs and Paramedics use while working on an ambulance.
Allen County Ambulance Service is equipped with state of the art tools and equipment. Students are able to learn how to operate power load stretchers insuring patient comfort and safety.
Extrication training is always the highlight of the EMT training. Students have an opportunity to see use of extrication tools and the impact a collision has on a vehicle.
